# Deadly attack on Kargil hero in Gurugram: Retired group captain's elbow broken in parking dispute.

There has been a fatal attack on retired Group Captain Amit Kumar Gupta, a former soldier of the Kargil war in Gurugram. It is alleged that the parking attendant of Magnum Global Park beat him with an iron rod. Due to this attack, Gupta has suffered serious head injury and his elbow is fractured. He has lodged a complaint regarding this matter in Sector 65 police station and has alleged that the attendant also threatened to kill him.

The incident happened during Gupta's family dinner when he went to park his car near Gonzo restaurant. After repeated rounds of the parking lot, the parking staff did not allow them entry. Gupta said that security guards and parking staff were present at the spot, but no one helped him. He also called the police, but the police did not reach the spot for about half an hour. Meanwhile, a chef of the restaurant intervened and saved his life.

According to Gupta, he was taken to Medanta Hospital, where he underwent elbow surgery. The hospital medical report does not mention head injury and elbow injury, which worries Gupta. He has demanded strict action from the police against the accused.

ACP Abhilakshya Joshi of Gurugram Police said that after receiving the complaint, the police have registered an FIR and the CCTV footage of the incident site is being examined. However, the identity of the accused has not been made public yet. It is noteworthy that Amit Gupta was a part of 'Operation Safed Sagar' in the 1999 Kargil war.
