A new report by the Indian Army states that China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) has reduced the number of its troops on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in 2025-26. According to the report, around 10 Combined Arms Brigades are deployed along the LAC and China's military training centre. Each brigade has about 3,000 soldiers, working together with various capabilities such as foot patrol, tanks, artillery and air defence.

The report also states that the situation is improving in Jammu and Kashmir. There were no incidents of stone pelting in 2025. However, the number of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) increased from 2 in 2024 to 163 in 2025. This year, 12 Pakistani terrorists have also been disarmed.

With this, military talks between India and China have resumed. Many important meetings were held in 2025, in which work was done towards resolving the border dispute. Mutual talks also continued between the soldiers of the two countries through border personal meetings.

Finally, the report noted that since Operation Sindoor, the Army's capability has improved and the incidence of violence in Jammu and Kashmir has also declined. In the future, more efforts are being made to improve the current situation of terrorism.
